ACT SAFE

Production Conservation, Safety, and Land Use

► This film production company is committed to responsible, safe, and respectful operations while filming prospectors activities in Canada, including travel by off-road vehicles to access placer claims. We also have ACTSAFE training and certifications in Motion Picture Industry Safety Awareness.

Environmental Conservation

Filming activities take place in ecologically sensitive backcountry environments. The production prioritizes nature conservation by limiting travel to designated Forest Service Roads and approved access routes, minimizing environmental disturbance, avoiding unnecessary vegetation damage, and respecting wildlife and seasonal habitat considerations. All film crew members are instructed to practice Leave No Trace principles to help ensure these landscapes remain healthy and accessible for future generations.

Respect for First Nations

Many filming locations are situated within the traditional territories of First Nations. The production acknowledges and respects the deep cultural, historical, and ongoing connection Indigenous peoples have to these lands. Filming is conducted with awareness of Indigenous rights, stewardship, and cultural significance, and with a commitment to respectful behavior, lawful access, and responsible land use.

ATV and UTV Safety Responsibilities

ATVs and UTVs are operated solely by trained and authorized film crew members in accordance with Canadian regulations and the safety standards outlined by the Provincial ATV Associations. Operators are required to wear approved helmets and appropriate protective equipment at all times. Vehicles are operated at safe speeds appropriate to road conditions, weather, visibility, and terrain.

Forest Service Road Protocols

While traveling on Forest Service Roads, film crew members obey all posted signage, follow road-use regulations, maintain radio or visual awareness where applicable, and yield to industrial and commercial traffic, including logging and service vehicles. These protocols are essential for ensuring the safety of the film crew and other road users.

Vehicle Compliance

All ATVs and UTVs used in production are properly registered, insured, and compliant with applicable provincial requirements. Vehicles are maintained in safe operating condition and used only for authorized production purposes.

Commitment to Responsible Access

By combining conservation practices, safety compliance, and respect for First Nations territories, this production aims to demonstrate that filming prospecting activities can be conducted responsibly and sustainably. This approach supports continued access to Canada’s backcountry while prioritizing safety, environmental stewardship, and respectful land use.
