FIRST NATIONS

“I am very proud to say that my great-grandmother in New-Brunswick was from the Mi’kmaq First Nation and I look forward to working with the First Nations people.”

We respectfully acknowledge the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) as the traditional stewards of the land and waters on which our head office is located.

For thousands of years, these First Nations have maintained deep cultural, spiritual, and economic connections to their territories, guided by knowledge passed down through generations.

We recognize that prospecting occurs on traditional and unceded lands and rivers, and we honor the rights, histories, and ongoing stewardship of Indigenous peoples.

With gratitude and respect, we acknowledge their leadership, resilience, and continued presence, and we commit to responsible, lawful, and respectful practices that recognize Indigenous sovereignty and cultural heritage.
