▲ We had a great time filming Mark @ Placer Gold Design and his expertise on gold panning with his metal Betea and Grizzly. We filmed Mark using his Betea and Grizzly on the Fraser River and him giving instructions on how to use the Betea and Grizzly to Douglas College geology students who were on a weekend field trip at the free MTO Gold Panning Reserve in Yale BC.
Mark has been gold prospecting for over 50 years and his choice for gold panning is with a metal Betea and Grizzly because green plastic gold pans release macro/micro plastics and oil residue into the rivers and then oceans when you wash the rocks and sand against the green plastic pans. It’s much more environmentally friendly to use a metal pan and grizzly for gold panning plus you can clean and disinfect the metal pans in a fire and then use Betea and Grizzly to cook a meal over an open campfire!
